Our Trip to Niagara Falls

This weekend we had a wedding in Buffalo which is just a hop, skip and a jump from Niagara Falls. So we ventured northward to view one of the 7 wonders of the world. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we had such a great time. Perfect. Couldn't have been better. Here are some photos from our trip. Oh yea. and the wedding was great too!

This is the view as we walked towards the falls...

And here the water is starting to pick up! On our next trip, we're going up in that space needle-esk building on the Canadian side.

This is the American Falls. Gorgeous!

Us in front of American Falls. How perfect is that rainbow in the background?
I could not believe the rainbows we saw everywhere all around the falls. Too bad we didn't find the pot of gold at the end of them.. maybe it's because I'm not Irish...

And then we decided to go beneath the falls... so much fun! We got soaked (thank goodness for ponchos)! I think Justin is distracted by the view/people screaming as they are SOAKED!
At one point we entered the "Hurricane Zone" where it was just like it would be in a hurricane. Amazing! It was hilarious just to stand there while were were blasted with all of this water from the falls. Here are some photos of the view at the bottom of the falls...

And last but not least this is the bridge that connects Niagara Falls, NY and Niagara Falls, Ontario but we are saving that for another trip...

More to come soon!! Hope all is well and that you are as excited as we are for summer to finally arrive!!

More from our holidays!

Here are a few more photos from our Christmas....

These are the houses we have to start our Dept. 56 collection. It's a lodge and a Dr.'s office.

Here is evidence of what I did for my break:

a 2,168 piece puzzle! The difficulty was multiplied by the fact that the cats kept knocking off part of it. Oh boy.

So the cats made out better than we did this Christmas. Below is an example of one gift we gave them that used to be a fish on a string with feathers on the end. As you can see, it didn't last long and in fact not longer than 20 minutes..

It was our youngest kitty, Eldrick's, second Christmas with us and he was so excited.

He just lived under our tree which made since we got him last year around Christmas. After Christmas was over....

He wanted it to continue!

We had lovely holidays- very relaxing and very enjoyable! We only hope you all did as well. Happy 2010!
